Alternative format of text refers to the conversion of printed academic materials to accessible formats for students with a variety of disabilities. The majority of students with this accommodation at Emory require the provision of accessible electronic files, which students access using software or apps on their computers, tablets, and phones.

DAS offers ASL Interpreting, CART (Captioning in Real Time) services, and captioned class materials for students who require them. A two-week notice is required for these services.
